eTrackr
Welcome to Risk and Emergency’s overview of our refresher training process… eTrackr.
Keeping better tabs on your staffs refresher training.
Our refresher courses are located on our eCampus, where the all-important underpinning knowledge on a multitude of subjects is shared via our eLearning courses; however, we are also providing our clients with an extra, optional register of refresher training; it is called eTrackr.
It is widely accepted that the workplace needs regular training and exercises to keep skills fresh and maintain capability in order to assure regulatory compliance.
The best organisations use a systematic approach to refresher training, backed up by an attempt at accurate record keeping, which facilitates monitoring, forecasting, and scheduling training sessions.
This all-encompassing approach ensures competency maintenance not just at an individual level but also at the shift, site and organisational level.
Organisations need to know there is a consistent level of worker capability in place across the full range of shift teams. If you can demonstrate a systematic auditable approach to training and competence assurance, then this goes a considerable distance towards regulatory compliance with this aspect; as an example, ISO9001.

ERT Contract & Tendering
We originated the idea, proposal, and work and carried out the innovative research for the need for Fire & rescue coverage to a Coal Seam Gas (CSG) business.
The first CSG Fire & Rescue placement in the Southern hemisphere: once fully deployed the contractor will also be the largest privately owned Fire & Rescue provider in the Southern Hemisphere.
This eventuated and brought about a `Three year privately owned Fire & Rescue contract` to mitigate all risks and hazards brought to the remote region by a CSG company.
This process entailed:
- Risk Assessment
- Snapshot Analysis
- Business Plan
- Engagement & Presentations to management for acceptance
- Tender – technical advice on all models, systems, equipment, vehicles, manning, rostering
- Tendering process
- Business Comms Plan
- Deployment Process
- Ongoing Audits of contractor conducted on behalf of the business – against KPI`s
Email us and we can help you prepare a tender bid or respond to one!
Remote Airport Aircraft Rescue Response Course
Consideration; Remote mine site emergency response capability & training designed for Mine ERT
Case study: Aviation Review? Problem: Remote, fly-in, fly-out mining operation required an evaluation of their emergency response capability to deal with aircraft accidents or incidents.
Solution: Provided an aviation specialist to visit the mine to conduct an evaluation of emergency equipment available and assess the type of capacity building required to deliver an effective emergency response solution.
Outcome: A timely assessment was made of the emergency equipment and Emergency Response Group capability. Recommendations were made for competency and resource requirements to develop the required emergency response capacity.
Designed: Aviation firefighting, specialised training and assessment for key individuals and other personnel for a variety of aviation specialised tasks.
Aim: The aim of this course is to provide a forum to facilitate the skills and competency needed to respond to an aviation incident, under supervision, as a member of a non-specialist team.
Description: The course focuses on emergency response in an aviation context, and does not in factor time for training or attainment of pre-requisite knowledge and skills. If the pre-requisite knowledge and skills are not demonstrated to the standard specified for the units, a skills development plan will be recommended to provide with the participants the opportunity to attain competency.

Through our applied experience, we also specialise in developing and applying solutions to training, personnel development, and the processes of an organisation’s staff in preparation meeting standards.
We travel the world to get the job done!
When we work with companies, we bring fresh ideas into the enterprise as well as reliable, informed, and real understandings of what the competition is doing well and what they are doing badly.
Being surrounded by the right people is critical any time you’re building an organisation in which the culture of the company makes a difference in the final product you’re selling. It is essential to be hiring the type of people who specifically understand the industry, the culture, and the values of your company. R&E takes responsibility to provide them with the best of service, the best of industry and cultural understanding, and the best articulation of their particular brand value. We try to understand your CEO’s vision, which at times means the difference between winning and losing.
This principle implies that your business leads the industry, therefore more successful than those that follow it

Aviation Safety Management System Course
The inability to manage risk and safety places considerable risk on the aviation industry’s people, reputation, assets and economic position. Effective safety management requires a systems approach to the development of safety policies, procedures and practices to allow the organization to achieve its safety objectives through a systematic approach.
The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has developed a template Safety Management System that assists airports in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy operational work environment by providing a guide on how to respond to safety risks, implementation processes and procedures to reduce these risks and build and maintain a risk aware culture amongst staff.
Our consultants have had previous experience in assisting transport industry clients, such as Queensland Rail, Air Services Australia, Rescue Firefighting Services and Civil Aviation Authority of Papua New Guinea with reviewing the risks they face; we have assisted in developing and implementing plans to reduce these risks.
This also entailed conducting the training required to ensure that all staff and operators can respond effectively and efficiently in the event of an emergency or incident. Our consultants have extensive knowledge of the ICAO Safety Management System. With certified trainers, extensive international experience and an in depth understanding of the risks organisations face each day, we can provide Southern Air Corporation with a comprehensive Aviation Safety Management System course.
This course covers the fundamental concepts behind ICAO’s Safety Management System and its practical implementation in the air transport environment.
This course is a must for all safety managers or managers that have a function of safety within their responsibility.
ERT Competition
Risk & Emergency (R&E;) has been supporting and preparing Mine Emergency Response Teams for Mine ERT competitions for the past seven years.
Our specialists help organize, group up and prepare teams for the vigorous and diverse events that are programmed.
These types of competitions are wonderful opportunities for Mine Managers to get returns in exposure and advertising, along with recognition of their teams efforts and abilities.
R&E; recently and over the years have supported and trained the PNG National ERT clash in which the Oil Search ERT took out near enough all of the events, yet amazingly also came second in the ones they didn’t win out right.
Oil Search furthermore won the academic Team & Individual award, along with Captain of the tournament. `well done Oil search ERT` – well done to their managers for their support, their Team Leaders and the companies commitment to supporting their ERT
R&E; have worked closely with the Oil Search team over the past two years.
We have reinforced and improved various aspects to their underpinning skills and knowledge
- Breathing Apparatus
- Urban search & rescue
- Hose, branch & pump work
- Orders, commands & hand signals
- Incident & Fire ground leadership
- Team work & discipline
For their efforts the Oil Search ERT were applauded: with their skills and ability recognized by their peers, industry, the USA Ambassador and importantly the PNG Mining inspectorate General.
